KITT from Knight Rider

KITT had many variations throughout the Knight Rider series. The original KITT was a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am. It was a 2 door coupe with front engine and back-wheel drive. It was fitted with customised after burners and had a turbo jet. KITT could go from 0-60 mph in 2 seconds.

20 cars were purchased for the show. Many of them were destroyed after the show. 5 still remain and the original is now stored away and is occasionally brought to conventions.

The name KITT stands for Knight industries 2000 but who says that. I didn't know that until today. We all just know it as KITT. KITT was voiced by William Daniels which 90's kids would know as Mr Feeny from Boy meets world.

So what other things could KITT do besides the obvious Turbo boost and seat ejection

  • Molecular shell to protect itself during explosions
  • Heat resistant with the use of Pyroclastic lamination
  • The control of other machines using the Electronic Jamming system
  • Flame throwers, tear gas and flares
  • Silent mode
  • Shock resistant protection for Michael or other passengers while they were under attack using Passive Layer resistant system
  • Analyses chemicals
  • Over ride the AI where Michael could take over control of KITT
  • Surveillance mode
  • Grappling hook
SPOILER ALERT!!!

KITT could not drive itself sorry to burst any bubble. It was driven by a stunt man lying on the floor.

Thank you so much for reading my blog post. I watched Knight Rider a lot as a child and even though it originally ran before I was born I got to see it growing up through reruns. KITT could have been the car that got me interested in cars and that is because it was so cool looking. Here is the website where I got the information for this blog. The next car blog I will do will be on the cars that were reguarly on the Waltons. There was many cars on the Waltons so I will probably do a blog on each separately but we will see. What was your favourite thing about KITT or Knight Rider in general. Mine would have to be Turbo boost. Here is a funny video done by Irish comedian doing a mock of Knight Rider.

I love cars

Not a lot of people know this but one of my hobbies is cars. When I was a child I would read a lot of books from the library about cars, that and books about dogs too. I would tell my mother innocently one day I will own that car garage (not knowing then about money. I just knew I loved the cars).

When my father would buy a new car or get his car serviced I generally always went with him to see all the different cars in the shop. I loved the smell of new cars. When dad would buy a new car I remember as a child I would be always fidgeting around the car trying to find all the new stuff that the old car wouldn't have while dad was driving (safely though I always had my seatbelt on lol). I generally knew a lot about the car by the time my father would have driven us home which was at most a 45 minute drive.

As I became an adult the interest started fading unfortunately due to different circumstances but I am still interested in cars and I want to rekindle my interest I had in cars. I like the look of expensive cars and I do have somewhat of an interest in them but my preference is more finding out more affordable stylish cars and classic cars.

I was thinking from time to time I may share about some makes of cars and facts about them on my blog here. Maybe even car makes that were featured on T.V. shows such as Knight rider, Batman and the Waltons etc. That way I will find out along with you more about car.

I have a problem!!! 📖📚📙

Houston I have a problem. I have too many books in my bookcase and in my kindle library. To see what books I have in my bookcase and kindle click the links as I have done 2 blog posts on that. Back to the reason you're here, I have many books on my shelf and kindle that I don’t seem to get around to reading to often. I wouldn’t call myself an addict to buying books but I’m a sucker for asking my mother for books she has or is finished with that look like good reads and then they end up in the bookcase and never get read because I always ask and she nearly always says yes. I did start reading one of the books my mother gave me recently, this morning and I do read every night but I need to challenge myself to read the books I currently have. I would never get into debt buying books or anything and I don’t buy books a lot at all. When buying books I usually get them second hand for less than €1 but I do have a bit of a problem asking my mother for books and she would give them to me.

I am beginning to feel overwhelmed with the amount of books I do have and some have been there for years. They are books I would like to read. I just need to try and stop asking mam for books and stop buying the odd books I do have at least until I have read the books I have.

So my challenge is to read the books I do have and here are the rules

  1. Finish the books I am currently reading in my bookcase
  2. Read the books I have in my bookcase and my kindle
  3. Don't get anymore books until I have these read either from mam or shops (with exception to books I might need to buy for courses etc.)
I realised this morning when I was going through my books that there are a lot of books that I started reading a while ago and left a book mark in and didn't finish along with ones I started reading recently. I want to finish those 1st and they are

    1. Women who think too much by Dr. Susan Noleen-Hoeksema
    2. The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis
    3. Militant resurrecting authentic Catholicism by Michael Voris S.T.B
    4. To light a fire on the earth proclaiming the gospel in a secular age by Bishop Robert Barron
    5. 2019-20 Notes on a season The nine in a row by Neil Lennon
    6. A light in the window by Jan Karon which I read every night
    7. Pony Club Secrets Destiny and Stardust by Stacy Gregg
I have other Catholic books that I won't be using reading in this challenge as I usually read more Catholic books in Adoration and whenever Adoration comes back after lockdown I will be able to read these books there where I can concentrate on them more. I have some Catholic books listed above because they are ones I read at home.

Thank you for reading my post and if you want to do this challenge feel free to do so and leave a comment so we can see how you are doing and what books you are reading.
